Biography

Valerie Thomson was raised in Northern Michigan,
and her love for the area is clearly exhibited in her
impressionistic landscape and still life paintings.

Studying with world renown artist, Carol Wald
and graduating from Kendall School of Design
has led Valerie to over ten years of experience in
graphic design in the Dallas and Chicago areas. 
It was in Dallas where she was honored with a
Dallas Tops Award and published in Print Magazine.
Upon returning to Northern Michigan, she has
combined her use of color and composition to capture
the picturesque beauty of the area.

Her paintings can be viewed in various private
and corporate collections as well as online
and in her studio and gallery.
